JOB DESCRIPTION
JAPANESE COOK
Principal Accountabilities:
§ Prepares and cook individual Japanese dishes and foods.
§ Plans menus.
§ Ensures quality of food and determine size of food proportions.
§ Ensures that all food is creatively and attractively presented at all times.
§ Work with minimal supervision.
§ Inspects kitchens and food service areas.
§ Trains staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
§ Orders supplies and equipment.
§ Supervises kitchen staff and helpers.
§ Maintains inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
§ Organizes and manage buffets and banquets.
§ Manages kitchen operations.
§ Additional duties and responsibilities related to the job may be assigned as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
§ Graduate from a Technical Culinary School.
§ Able to supervise and direct work flow for kitchen staff.
§ Undergone basic food preparation and hygiene.
§ Five (5) to seven (7) years experience in Japanese food production.
§ Relevant experience in the GCC is a plus (preferably in Saudi Arabia).
§ Ability to communicate in English.
